Active Base Ltd has been trading since March 2008 with the objective of finding likeminded manufacturers that could deliver performance clothing and equipment for the Equestrian/Walking/Trekking/Hiking and Mountain enthusiast while keeping the welfare of our environment at the foremost.

Every day we all become more and more aware of the environmental threats facing the outdoor environment we love so much. We know that our industry, which demands both mineral and energy resources, is contributing to environmental pollution, and we are determined to minimise or indeed reverse our impact over time.

We know we cannot solve the global problems single handed, but we can play our own part, and encourage awareness and action from suppliers and customers alike.

It is with our environment in mind that Active Base Ltd seeks likeminded manufacturers to work with and is pleased in selecting Montane as our first partner for Performance Clothing, Montane have always advocated lighter weight, simpler garments, which are intrinsically less resource intensive than other clothing. Montane have only ever supported and encouraged sports which in themselves do not pollute, and in so doing they have encouraged greater environmental awareness and appreciation. Montane were one of the first companies to stop producing a paper consumer catalogue, requiring instead their customers to refer to the low-impact on-line catalogue.

Active Base Ltd will strive to find likeminded manufacturers that will complement our range of Performance Clothing as we build our business.
